Rory Scovel and Kojo Mante made an appearance on NBC yesterday to plug the fest, and did an outstanding
job squeezing the state of DC comedy into a five-minute interview segment. I'd embed it here, but the kind people and NBC
didn't see fit to provide the code, so I'll just post the link really large with a picture of Bob Vila.
Hope you enjoyed that more than we did making it. It was about 15 degrees out thanks to wind chill factor while shooting those
scenes with Jermaine in Rockville. But, it was successful and there's something new out there from the TDC crew, as expansive
as it is becoming.
That whole 'death' thing was an elaborately concocted hoax. Nobody's really dead, as far as I know. Sorry to disappoint any
of you finger-crossers with particular enemies. But we're all alive and healthy and let's be thankful blah blah blah.
I talked about the TDC Facebook group last time, I'm just throwing in yet another mention of it. What else did I want to call
attention to? Oh, right. There's an awfully big proliferation of "wolf" bands nowadays. You've got Montreal ironic-moustache
men Wolf Parade, Japanese punkers Guitar Wolf, some band called AIDS Wolf, a noise group called Wolf Eyes...
Basically, all I wanted to say was that Los Lobos were doing it decades before that shit was popular. Talk to
you all soon.
