Stop by Farragut Square this Saturday from 1-5 if you're in the city. I'm helping out and possibly MCing this event
run by 4th World Movement, an activist group against poverty. A good way to give a little something back.
I hate ignoring the site like this for days and weeks at a time, but truth be told I haven't been in much
of a mood to write lately. A mix of many factors, really, but there is a lot of great stuff going on. The Improv is coming
up, as well as Tyler vs. Tyler (now with Herbie "The Man" Gill), the Red Sox are in the ALCS, and the Capitals may actually
make the playoffs this year, at least if they play as well as they did against Carolina on Saturday. For anyone who hasn't
seen it, here is Manny Ramirez's home run, which goes down as one of the greatest I've seen in more than twenty years of watching
baseball.
Despite
my lack of activity on this site this past week, I have been trying to write for various other projects that will ideally
lift from the ground in the next couple of months. One of which I should be plugging extensively as the spring approaches.
For now, we're eagerly awaiting fall, fucking ninety degree temperatures and all in the District area.
If you have a chance to see Pinback on their current tour, do so. They are outstanding, especially with the companionship of MC Chris.
I need to not be in front of a computer for a little while.
