Happy last week of February, everyone. This week's ridiculously busy for me, for a number of reasons,
but one big one which I may post something on here soon since a lot of you already know about it. It's a show. I'm
not sick, I'm not leaving DC, I'm not giving anything significant up in life, so don't worry about me.
Anyway, I'm very happy because I just discovered that Supergrass are coming out with a new album soon. For those of you
who don't know much about the 'Grass, they were probably, at the end of the day, the best band pound-for-pound to
emerge from the Britpop boom in the mid-90's. I have gone on record as a big Blur fan (which I remain), but for those
who like to draw comparisons, Supergrass are like an english Pearl Jam. They got sucked into a marketable movement in the
90's, but before long transcended it and continue to make outstanding music to this day, while their once-great contemporaries
(think Suede, Oasis) churn out schlock well into the new millenium. Only difference is, Gaz Coombes didn't influence an
entire generation of shitty vocal style rippers like Eddie Vedder did. And I just like Supergrass a lot more than Pearl Jam.
Personal nods aside, here's the video for their new single "Bad Blood." Like almost all of their video's,
it'll bend the mind and make you laugh.
