Stuff and Things: Equinox Edition
[tws] Springtime!! The weather's warming up and everything's looking up. Hexagon just ended- Thanks to
everyone who came out, by the way - and I'm finally beginning to see the light of a flexible schedule once again. First
things first, though, I have a few announcements to make. This Saturday night, I'm playing a cop in a wonderful new play by Shawn Northrip, the writer of such
wonders as "The Texas Chainsaw Musical" and "Lunch: The Musical" (which I discuss with friends Leo Goodman
and Jim Elliott on the Radio Show here). It's called "The Playdoh Golem," and it's all part of the DC Jewish Community Center's
J on Demand Purim celebration. Tickets cost $10 and that includes one free drink. Yes, Judaism encourages getting obliterated
on Purim...long story. The staged reading of "The Playdoh Golem" is happening at 9:30 at the DC JCC at the corner
of 16th and Q St NW. Some of the stars include local favorites like Bryant Sullivan, Michelle Hessel, Casie Platt, and other
cool people. Click here for more info. Also, I'm performing in Mike Blejer and Kyle Martin's first installment of "Steal this Show!"
at O'Sullivan's pub, right in the heart of Clarendon, off of Wilson Blvd near the Clarendon Metro, on Monday night.
This should be a great show, and hopefully will be the first of many great standup nights there. You're probably thinking,
"Well, I like standup, I like Tyler, but if there's one thing that cancels both of those things out, its paying full
price for hamburgers!". Well, apparently they have 1/2 priced burgers there Monday nights. Your list of excuses for not
being there has officially been squashed. Seriously, though, should be a great show, come and support for free.
So, in exciting reports on TDC Production activity, I'm well in the throes of the Georgetown Cabaret 2008
DVD. The show was spectacular this year, and the DVD should hopefully be no less. All I want to do is afford Cisco
Crespo and Matt McNally's rendition of "By the Way" (complete with sock hanging from pants, and homoeroticism)
the dignity it deserves! I'll post some clips once the DVD nears completion and they'll be available for $10 plus
whatever little postage. [I'm sorry I don't have access to a good logo/image for the DVD yet..I'll try to get
that up tonight]. Also, I need a new web server soon. Web.com is pretty solid, don't get me wrong, but I'm
not interested in paying all this money for the issues I've been having with the service, and considering how I don't
use the site for all of its capable, really. Any good suggestions are welcome. webmaster at tdcpresents dot com.

these weekly/biweekly shows.
MONDAY 11TH ST. LOUNGE First and third mondays
of every month. It's intimate, friendly, and the servers upstairs are fine. Even an audience of 10 non-comics can
whip the place into a frenzy. Hosted by Lou Giglio, or Bart Voisin if he couldn't escape the calling. Oh Highland Dr,
right across from the Clarendon Grill.
SPY LOUNGE Eli "the man" Sairs and Tyler "da
man" Richardson run this open mic at a bizarrely posh but still fun place right in the heart of Adam's Morgan, on
18th St. Starts around 8pm.
CHIEF IKE'S MAMBO ROOM Run by the luminaries behind DCC4N. On Columbia
Rd. right north of that intersection in Adams-Morgan.
TUESDAY Nema is gone, but
info about Takoma Station and the Library (both in Northeast) coming soon.
Wiseacre's happens on this night,
out in Tyson's.
WEDNESDAY Wiseacres will always be there, hopefully, out in
Tyson's.
DR. DREMO'S IS DEAD. LONG LIVE DR. DREMO'S.
THURSDAY College
Perk First and third Thursday of every month, this is probably the most fun you'll have at an open mic in the
area. Maybe because it's a college hangout with a liquor license. 9078 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD
RIDICULOUSLY GOOD SONG OF THE WEEK

Stupid Feelings"
The TDC Archive of the Greatest Things Ever Said, Ever"I'm
gonna hire a fat person to sit in the driver's seat whenever I'm not using the car. Maybe get a midget with ice in
his mouth to blow on the back of my neck while I'm driving." "If I ever won a source award, I would go
onstage and speak ebonics." "If you can be fat and do it, its not a sport." - Forest "Socrates"
