Please be advised that I don't want to endorse Elliot in the Morning, but this video is great for a multitude
of reasons. First, Mike Green shows up, acting out of place as always, and gets his mohawk preened on the show to the sounds
of Pavement. Hopefully you got a full dose of my love for Pavement in that last entry. I don't have adequate time to fire
out a diatribe about my love for the Caps right now, but this video, and the fact that I nerded out for hours watching Caps
TV videos on their website the other night, stand up for it.
http://capitals.nhl.tv/team/launch.htm?type=fvod&id=16096&catid=208I won't lie and say I've been terribly impressed with their playoff performance against the Flyers, as
fucking amazing as Game 1 was. DC was electrified in a way that no team has done for it in years over this. Donald Brashear
scored the first goal, Mike Green netted two, and of course Ovechkin walked in gangsta-style, snagged the puck and unleashed
the game winner in the last period. Even Game 2, in which Philly shut them out, got front page coverage on Express the next
day, which is a phyrric victory if you're a hockey fan.
I'm still pulling big time for the Caps as they
try to even the series up 2-2 tomorrow night in Philly. Apparently,
so is bassist Syd Butler of Les Savy Fav, who are now endorsing the Caps in a way, too, which makes it even more awesome.
I don't know who is behind
the PR for the Caps this year, but they're doing a hell of a job. This is a young, big, and exciting team with surprising
talent that all seem like dudes you'd want to hang out with, and if you go onto Caps TV and see some of the other videos,
they're funny as shit, too. Who knows- the Flyers could be the same way for Philly, but I couldn't care less. At least
this isn't the Flyers of Eric Lindros and John LeClair- I hated that team with a passion. 2008 is different. The bottom
line is that hockey is back. Don't say I didn't write that
over two years ago about the Caps. I love being right. Arguably.
COMEDY NEWS
I'll start publicizing this
a big better very soon, but
I'll be performing at the Baltimore Comedy Factory on May 15-17 with two
of the funniest and downright cool people in DC comedy history, Tony Woods and Mike Aronin.

Tony Woods is the guy who legend has it was one of Chappelle's biggest inspirations back in the day. My biggest
endorsement of Tony is this: every single time he gets onstage, should be recorded and archived. You always know you're
about to see one of the most hilarious things in your life, you have no idea how he'll get there, but he always does.
Mike Aronin has been doing standup and motivational speaking for years now. He has cerebral palsy and he's
still the sharpest dude in the room. The first time I saw him was him performing to a sparsely populated Warehouse Next Door
during DC Comedyfest '06. He destroyed. I don't know anyone else who could stir a crowd of 9 in a room for 80 into
a frenzy, but he did it. Funny as hell.
And I'm MCing. If you're reading this site, you probably know my
credentials. If you haven't seen me, then here's your chance to change that! Showtimes run as follows:
THURSDAY,
MAY 15, 8PM
FRIDAY, MAY 16, 7:30PM, 9:30PM, 11:30PM
SATURDAY, MAY 17, 7PM, 9PM, 11PM

Bmore Comedy Factory is at 36 Light St, right at the corner of Light and Lombard near the Inner Harbor. I look forward to
seeing you guys out there! The only thing that could make it better is if the Caps are still playing for it that weekend...
